3 million Texas customers without power after Hurricane Beryl; restoration efforts underway with assistance from Georgia Power crews and other utility companies.

Texas officials say power restoration after Hurricane Beryl will take days as nearly 3 million customers are left without electricity. Georgia Power crews are heading to Texas to assist in restoring power as part of a state-to-state mutual aid agreement. CenterPoint Energy expects to restore power to 1 million customers affected by Hurricane Beryl by the end of Wednesday. CPS Energy is sending around 60 employees to Houston to assist in power restoration, and other utility companies are mobilizing resources to assist in the recovery efforts.
