Manitoba's government partners with the Indigenous-led Aboriginal Health & Wellness Centre (AHWC) to develop the province's first supervised consumption site, aiming to open in central Winnipeg in 2025. The $2.5 million project will provide sterile needles, medical supervision, and naloxone training. Manitoba becomes the last province west of Atlantic Canada to establish such a facility.
