Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched a massive raid at 14 locations across Haryana as part of an investigation into a multi-crore VAT scam. The raids targeted three Haryana Civil Service officers and several private individuals suspected of involvement in the scam. The ED's Chandigarh Zonal office is searching for evidence of money laundering and other financial irregularities linked to the scam. The VAT scam is estimated to have caused a financial loss of around Rs 70 crore to the state exchequer.
