El Paso County Sheriff's Office Mounted Team partners with Norris-Penrose Event Center for full-time operation.
El Paso County Sheriff's Office and Norris-Penrose Event Center have formed a partnership, allowing the EPCSO's Mounted Team to operate full-time. The team, consisting of 5 horses and 12 deputies, is the only Mounted Unit in the Pikes Peak region. The collaboration provides increased access to horses for various functions such as search and rescue, evidence and fugitive searches, and patrol.
