Dominion Energy agrees to acquire Avangrid's Kitty Hawk North offshore wind lease for $160M, which will be renamed CVOW-South. This 40,000-acre lease could support 800MW of offshore wind generation capacity by the 2030s, aiding electric demand growth in Virginia. The deal, expected to close in Q4 2024, enables Dominion to deploy additional regulated offshore wind generation as part of the Virginia Clean Economy Act.
