A death investigation is underway in Craven County after a body was found floating in the Scott's Creek Area of James City on Monday. Deputies are investigating a missing person report from the area and informed the family of the discovery. The body appears to be that of a white male and will be identified through an autopsy. A remotely operated submersible vehicle (ROV) was used to recover the body, which was not accessible by land.
