Aldi plans to invest £550 million in opening 35 new UK stores this year, including locations in Waltham Cross, Olney Park, Aberdare, Broughty Ferry, and Leytonstone. The new stores will create around 40 jobs each, and Aldi aims to have 1,500 stores in the UK. Starting pay for store assistants is £12.40 per hour, rising to £13.65 in London, and they also offer paid breaks worth more than £900 a year.
