Air Marshal Rob Chipman succeeds Vice Admiral David Johnston as Australia's Vice Chief of Defence Force.

Air Marshal Rob Chipman takes over as Australia's Vice Chief of the Defence Force from Vice Admiral David Johnston, who completed a six-year tenure. Chipman, a former F/A-18 fighter pilot, expressed a sense of pride and duty during his speech at the change-of-command ceremony. Johnston highlighted the achievements of his team on the 2024 National Defence Strategy and the rebuilt Integrated Investment Program during his time as VCDF.
