A gas explosion in Ogun State, Nigeria, has resulted in the death of a 40-year-old woman, Rafiat Sheriff, and her seven-year-old daughter, Asisat Sheriff. The incident occurred on Ebute Road, Ibafo area of Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State when the mother instructed her daughter to light the gas cylinder for cooking. The explosion led to the death of the mother and daughter, and two other people are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
