25-year-old Hawthorn forward Mitch Lewis has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2024 season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in a match against Geelong. The injury came as a result of a heavy collision with Geelong's Jake Kolodjashnij in the final quarter of their loss at GMHBA Stadium. Lewis had only recently returned to AFL level after dealing with a persistent knee issue.
