Despite the surprise, this marks his third Yankee to join the All-Star roster, alongside Aaron Judge and Juan Soto. This is Holmes' second career All-Star appearance, with his first in 2022. Holmes has a 3.00 ERA and a 2.67 FIP in 36 innings this year, converting 19 of 24 save opportunities.
