Quebec government and police association reach new six-year contract agreement, improving conditions for 5,700 officers.

The Quebec government and the Association des policières et policiers provinciaux du Québec have reached a new six-year contract agreement in principle, improving working conditions and offering flexibility for the province's 5,700 police officers. The deal follows a 60% rejection of a previous proposed 21% increase in May, and the exact amount of the raises will be presented to members this week. Since March 2022, officers have been without a contract.
