Qatar's Ministry of Interior (MOI) has reminded employers and expats of their responsibilities to complete residence or visit permit procedures within 30 days of an expat's entry. Failure to do so may result in penalties, including fines of up to QR 10,000. The MOI stated that employers must help expats contact relevant authorities and that reconciliation is allowed, with a maximum fine of QR 6,000 for delay.
