Portugal's Competition Authority prohibits Vodafone Portugal's acquisition of Nowo due to competition concerns.

Portugal's Competition Authority (AdC) has prohibited Vodafone Portugal's acquisition of Nowo, due to concerns that it would hinder competition and harm consumers. AdC believes the deal would increase Vodafone's market power, create barriers to market entry, and lead to higher consumer prices. Vodafone's proposed measures, including a wholesale fibre network offer and selling Nowo's spectrum usage rights, were deemed insufficient by AdC.
