The Philippines' unemployment rate rose to 4.1% in May from 4% in April, with 2.11 million jobless Filipinos, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). This figure is lower than that of May 2023 (2.17 million) but higher than in April 2024 (2.04 million). Despite this increase, the country's employment rate improved slightly to 95.9% from 95.7% in May last year.
