The Philippines and the UAE plan to conclude negotiations on their Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) by October or November, aiming to expand trade and investment opportunities, increase exports to the UAE and the Gulf region, and create opportunities for Filipino professionals and service providers. If finalized, it will be the first FTA for the Philippines with a GCC member-state and its fourth bilateral FTA overall.
