NSW Independent Planning Commission has approved a rock quarry at Eagleton, north of Raymond Terrace. Eagleton Rock Syndicate proposed extracting 600,000 tonnes of hard rock annually over 30 years. Despite concerns from locals, the IPC found the site suitable due to its hard rock resources, topography, and access to road networks. Strict conditions will mitigate the Barleigh Ranch Way development's impacts.
