Nigeria's Warri-Itakpe train service resumed on July 8 after a temporary suspension due to a derailment on July 4. The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) apologized for the inconvenience and advised passengers to book tickets online or at stations starting from July 7. The Minister of Transportation, Sen. Said Alkali, has assured the public that the government is addressing rail derailment incidents, many of which are caused by vandalism and criminal activities.
