The City of Newcastle is progressing plans for a $10 million, year-round aquatic facility at Lambton Park War Memorial Swimming Centre. The facility may include a 25-meter indoor pool, toddlers' pool, gym, kiosk, and changerooms. Community engagement will begin in August, and specialist pool operator BlueFit will continue to manage the city's inland pools under a new long-term lease. Lambton pool is expected to reopen in August, following upgrades, while other pools will reopen in September.
