New Zealand's Rico Bearman and Leila Walker, rising BMX stars, have been selected for the UCI BMX Racing at the Paris Olympic Games. The pair, representing New Zealand at the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines BMX Stadium on 1-2 August, will compete in the quarterfinals, last chance race, and semifinals to potentially win a medal in the finals on 2 August. Both riders qualified for the grand finals at the recent UCI BMX Racing World Championships in the USA.
