Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, reveals the Federal Government is considering the relocation of the Ikoyi Correctional Centre and other facilities due to urbanisation encroaching on the prisons. The minister stated that there is no adequate buffer zone as required by the constitution, making the current locations a security threat. The government is looking into the possibility of relocating these correctional centres.
