Leftist parties in France form the New Popular Front (NPF) alliance, potentially becoming the largest group in parliament ahead of the far right.

French leftist leader Jean-Luc Melenchon has declared that the French left is "ready to govern" as predictions show a broad left-wing alliance could be the largest group in parliament ahead of the far right. The New Popular Front (NPF) was formed by leftist parties, including Melenchon's France Unbowed (LFI) party, the Socialist Party, the Greens, and the Communist Party. It is still unclear who would be the alliance's top candidate for prime minister, but the leaders of the left-wing parties have called for democracy and collaboration within the alliance.
