India's PM Modi and UK's PM Starmer agreed to strengthen strategic partnership and pursue a mutually beneficial free trade agreement.

India's PM Narendra Modi and UK's newly-elected PM Keir Starmer agreed to strengthen their countries' strategic partnership and work towards concluding a mutually beneficial India-UK free trade agreement. Modi congratulated Starmer on his Labour Party's election victory and a "remarkable" victory. Both leaders recalled the historic relations between the two countries and pledged to deepen their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
