Indian govt upgrades telecom infrastructure for Amarnath Yatra pilgrims, in partnership with Airtel, BSNL, and Reliance Jio. The upgrade includes the addition of 31 new sites, bringing the total to 82, and aims to provide seamless 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G coverage along Yatra routes from Lakhanpur to Qazigund, Qazigund to Pahalgam, and Baltal. Key SIM distribution centers have also been established to support pilgrims during the Yatra.
