Pakistan's CTD officer killed in targeted attack in Karachi's Karimabad area.
A counter-terrorism officer from Pakistan's Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) was killed in a targeted attack in Karachi's Karimabad area. The attackers, who were riding a motorcycle, opened fire on the CTD officer while he was visiting a friend, critically injuring him and a security guard. The officer later died en route to a nearby hospital. The attackers fled the scene, and police suspect this was a targeted attack on CTD personnel.
