The Washington Capitals have promoted Chris Patrick to the role of General Manager and Senior Vice President, with longtime GM Brian MacLellan remaining as President of Hockey Operations. Patrick has been with the Capitals since 2009 and served as Assistant GM for the past three years. MacLellen has been the GM since 2014 and will continue to oversee all aspects of hockey operations.
