Australia aims to revitalize its global agricultural network, adding nine new positions in Japan, Malaysia, and the UK, and replacing six existing counsellors, as part of its $100 billion farm gate production target by 2030. The counsellors, stationed in 19 key cities, help secure market access, support trade negotiations, and resolve import/export issues, contributing to a record $80 billion in agricultural, fisheries, and forestry exports in 2022-23.
