120 AEP Ohio lineworkers and support staff head to Texas to restore power ahead of Hurricane Beryl.
AEP Ohio is sending 120 lineworkers and support staff to aid in restoration efforts in Texas ahead of Hurricane Beryl. The storm is expected to cause extensive power outages in AEP Texas' service territory. Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) is also deploying 98 employees and 32 contractors to assist with hurricane response efforts in Texas, joining thousands of utility professionals at a mobile command center.
