19th-century Ashagi Govhar Agha Mosque in Shusha, vandalized during Armenian occupation, has been restored.

Ashagi Govhar Agha Mosque, a historical and architectural symbol of Shusha, has been restored to its original form after suffering vandalism during the nearly 30-year Armenian occupation. The 19th-century mosque, built by architect Karbalayi Safikhan Garabaghi, is considered the first mosque constructed in Shusha by Govhar Aga, daughter of Ibrahim Khan. Located in the lower part of the city, the mosque's minarets are made of bricks and cover an arched prayer hall.
