2 SABC executives, COO Ian Plaatjies and video entertainment exec Merlin Naicker, have been fired after a disciplinary process found them guilty of concealing an advertising profit-sharing agreement with technology company Discovery Digital. The deal related to SABC's streaming platform, TelkomONE (now called SABC Plus). They were suspended in February following a legal opinion from law firm Werksmans.
