Nigerian Senate extends probe of N30 trillion Ways and Means loans by CBN until September.

The Nigerian Senate has extended the probe of a committee examining the N30 trillion Ways and Means loans granted to the Federal Government by the CBN from 2014-23. The Senate Ad-hoc Committee, led by Senator Isah Jibrin, has been given two extra months until September to scrutinize the facility's disbursement and spending. Ways and Means is a loan mechanism for the CBN to finance budget shortfalls.
