Leicestershire Police dog Zyla died on duty during an attempted murder case, suspect arrested.
Police Dog Zyla from Leicestershire Police died on duty while attempting to detain a suspect in an attempted murder case at Watermead Park. The 27-year-old suspect escaped into the water, but was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal. Leicestershire Police are observing a mark of respect by flying their force flag at half-mast and planning a remembrance event for Zyla.
