Illawarra firefighters Paul and Skye Barlow struggle to make ends meet as their mortgage soars by $2000 a month. Both working as full-time firefighters for Fire and Rescue NSW, they're forced to take on second jobs, with Mrs Barlow working as a nurse and Mr Barlow as a labourer. The couple, who have four children, say firefighter salaries don't keep pace with the rising cost of living.
