Health Minister Dr Samanta Lal Sen announced the construction of a 150-bed burn and plastic surgery unit at Chattogram Medical College Hospital, with the project set to begin in September. Funded by the Chinese government (Tk 179.83 crore) and Bangladesh government, the Prime Minister is expected to lay the foundation stone after returning from China. Dr Sen also expressed concerns about the broken MRI machine in the hospital and assured to address the issue.
