Frenchman Anthony Turgis won the ninth stage of Tour de France on dusty gravel roads, while race leader Tadej Pogacar maintained his lead. Turgis, from the Total Energies team, claimed the biggest win of his career in a sprint, edging out Tom Pidcock and Derek Gee. Race leader Pogacar tried to set the race alight through relentless attacks but could not gain time on his rivals for the yellow jersey.
