1 AM on Sunday, a young child was struck by a car on Weaver Road near I-71/75 overpass in Florence, Boone County. The child's age, condition, and circumstances are unknown. The driver stayed at the scene. Road was closed during investigation, reopened after 1.5 hours. The child was airlifted to Cincinnati Children's hospital, extent of injuries unreported. Boone County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
