Algeria and Italy signed a €420m ($455m) deal for an agricultural project in Algeria's southern province of Timimoun, covering 36,000 hectares for grain, legume, and pasta production. The project aligns with Algeria's policy to enhance food security and expand production areas in the desert south, while also creating 6,700 jobs. This follows a similar agreement signed in April with Qatar's Baladna company for a dairy farm and powdered milk production facility.
