2 adults lost in caves for 5 hours rescued by Kansas City Fire Department without injuries.
2 adults, a 30-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, were rescued by the Kansas City Fire Department (KCFD) after getting lost in caves for 5 hours. The couple entered the caves off Coal Mine Road around 11 p.m. on Saturday and called 911 after losing their way. KCFD's rescue division used ropes to descend approximately 2000-2500 feet into the cave system, successfully rescuing both without injuries.
