In Pune, a drunk driver attempted to set a woman police officer and another constable on fire during a drink and drive operation. The 32-year-old suspect, identified as Sanjay Fakirba Salve, doused the officers with petrol and attempted to ignite it. The suspect was apprehended by the constables present at the scene and placed under arrest. The police have booked him under sections related to attempt to murder, assault, and violation of the Motor Vehicles Act.
