33-year-old Heidelberg Heights man charged with theft, handling stolen goods, and driving while disqualified after allegedly stealing a beloved gorilla statue named Garry from a Melbourne retirement village. The 1.5-metre statue was found at a Reservoir property and returned to the village. The suspect turned himself in after significant media coverage and is set to appear in court on August 30.
