61-year-old Kemal Alic from Georgia drowned at Myrtle Beach's Grand Strand Beach, South Carolina. Alic was pulled from the ocean near 18th Avenue South and taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 12:45 p.m. due to asphyxiation caused by drowning. The cause of death was confirmed by the Horry County Coroner's Office.
