40-year-old Cristino Martinez from East Ham is charged with attempted sexual assault by penetration in connection with an incident on June 1st on Paul Street, West Ham. A distressed woman in her 30s claimed she was approached by a stranger while walking home. Martinez appeared in Stratford Magistrates Court on July 5, was remanded in custody, and is due to appear in Snaresbrook Crown Court on August 3.
