Widow of Captain Anshuman Singh, awarded posthumously India's second-highest gallantry award Kirti Chakra for his bravery during a fire incident in Siachen, recalls love at first sight during college. Captain Singh, a doctor with the Army Medical Corps, rescued several people before succumbing to the fire. His wife Smriti Singh and mother accepted the award from President Droupadi Murmu.
