Vancouver's Downtown Eastside housing project expands from one to four city lots, offering 200 affordable and supportive housing units for those at risk of homelessness. The expansion, made possible by a land donation from the 625 Powell Street Foundation, adds community health services on the first floor. Since March 2023, the government has opened over 750 new and renovated housing spaces in the area, with an additional 850 units underway.
