Toyota completes investigation into certification processes, no new wrongdoing found beyond previously reported cases.
Toyota Motor Corporation concluded its investigation into certification processes for all domestic models over the past 10 years and found no new instances of wrongdoing beyond those previously reported. The company had previously admitted to using different testing methods from government standards in six cases for seven models. Toyota has reported its findings to Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and remains committed to taking appropriate measures in line with the ministry's guidance.
