TMC's Derek O'Brien has demanded that the Modi government offer the Lok Sabha deputy speaker's post to an opposition INDIA bloc candidate, calling it the government's duty to run Parliament smoothly in the Budget session. O'Brien also proposed allowing one notice from the opposition weekly in each House to discuss issues of national importance. The Budget session is scheduled to begin on July 22.
