Somalia pays full $7.8m dues, boosting EAC budget from $103.8m to $112.9m in 2024/25.
Somalia has made a significant contribution to the East African Community (EAC) budget by paying its full $7.8m dues for the financial year 2024/25, surpassing the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), which has yet to contribute. This boosted the EAC budget from $103.8m in 2023/24 to $112.9m in 2024/25. Other member states, including DRC, Burundi, and South Sudan, have not honored their financial commitments.
