Queensland's government allocates $20.78m to enhance abortion services, recruiting 22 professionals and supporting the Termination of Pregnancy Action Plan 2032.

Queensland's government will provide $20.78m to enhance access to abortion services, recruiting 22 additional full-time nurses, midwives, social workers, and senior medical officers. This investment is part of a $41.8m commitment to support the Termination of Pregnancy Action Plan 2032, announced in March. Qualified nurses and midwives will soon be able to perform termination of pregnancy using MS2-Step, once legislative changes come into effect later this year.
