The New York Mets promoted right-handed pitcher Eric Orze from Triple-A Syracuse to boost their injury-plagued bullpen. Orze, a 2020 fifth-round pick, has a 33.9% strikeout rate this season. He will make his MLB debut, replacing Ty Adcock who was optioned back to Triple-A after a poor performance. Orze, a two-time cancer survivor, could vie for a role in the Mets' roster next season.
