165-meter Chinese coastguard ship anchors in Philippine EEZ in South China Sea, deemed an act of intimidation by PCG.
China's largest coastguard vessel, a 165-meter "monster ship," has anchored in the Philippines' exclusive economic zone in the South China Sea, according to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG). The PCG spokesperson, Jay Tarriela, said the Chinese ship's presence is an act of intimidation. The vessel entered Manila's 200-nautical mile EEZ on July 2, and the PCG warned the Chinese vessel about its location and asked about its intentions.
